Jiyuan Iron & Steel Group’s steelmaking system is equipped with one 1300-ton hot metal mixer, one 120-ton dual-station KR desulfurization unit, two 120-ton top-bottom combined blowing converters, two 60-ton top-bottom combined blowing converters, four 120-ton LF refining furnaces, two 120-ton RH refining furnaces, four 60-ton LF refining furnaces, two alloy melting furnaces, and two 60-ton VD refining furnaces. The facility features the world’s largest curved radius continuous caster for special steel large round billets (Φ500mm-Φ1300mm), along with continuous casters for alloy steel small square/round billets and large square/round billets (the latter introduced from Swiss Concast). The casting complex includes one 8-strand, one 7-strand, one 6-strand, and one 5-strand continuous casting machine. The integrated system possesses an annual production capacity of 5 million tons of steel.

Core Equipment & Technical Specifications
The large special steel round billet continuous caster utilizes core equipment technology from Danieli’s two-strand continuous casting machine, capable of producing large-section round billets ranging from ø500mm to ø1300mm.
Key Equipment & Control Systems
The production line incorporates internationally leading technologies including full-process protective casting, tundish electromagnetic induction heating, automatic start-up casting, eddy current automatic mold level control, robotic automatic flux feeding, strand electromagnetic stirring, billet heating, laser cutting-to-length, and robotic automatic marking. It represents a world-class continuous casting line that integrates advanced processing technologies and intelligent automation.
Production Capacity & Target Markets
With an annual designed production capacity of 300,000 tons, the facility primarily serves emerging energy sectors such as large-scale offshore wind power and large-sized petroleum service valve bodies.
