Recently, the production supervisor of the Jiyuan Iron & Steel Guotai Precision Manufacturing Die Forging Project introduced that the overall project progress has currently reached 30%, with equipment installation and debugging work advancing simultaneously in an overlapping manner. The first phase, comprising five fully automated hot die forging production lines, is set to commence operation by the end of December this year. Upon reaching full capacity, it will have an annual output of 8 million forgings, which can meet the wheel hub demand for 1 million family cars.
Upon full completion, the project will become a first-class precision forging production base in China. It will not only meet the demand for core components in high-end bearings, transmission systems, engineering machinery, and other fields within China but will also significantly enhance the local supporting capacity and overall competitiveness of the Jiyuan Iron & Steel industrial chain. This will vigorously propel the regional equipment manufacturing industry toward high-end and intelligent development.
While addressing domestic high-end manufacturing needs, the project, based on its positioning as a first-class precision forging base in China, has set its sights on the global market. The five fully automated hot die forging production lines possessed by the project, with their scaled, intelligent, and advanced production capacity, are not only aimed at serving local industrial upgrading but also possess the core capability to directly participate in the competition of the international high-end precision forging supply chain.
It is estimated that after the project reaches full operational capacity, its robust annual supply of 8 million forgings will target global automotive industry and high-end equipment manufacturing clusters, such as those in Europe, North America, Japan, and South Korea. It will specifically provide high-precision, high-consistency products like wheel hub bearings and core forgings for transmission systems. By aligning with international standards and quality requirements, the project will assist Jiyuan Iron & Steel in becoming a new, efficient, and high-quality supply pole in the global precision forging sector. This will enhance the penetration and influence of Chinese manufacturing in key links of the global industrial chain, solidly advancing the regional manufacturing brand toward internationalization and higher value-added development.
